Cryo FMR

Variable Temperature CPW-FMR spectrometer

The CryoFMR turns the Cryostation with Magneto-Optic into a variable temperature Coplanar Waveguide Ferromagnetic Resonance (CPW-FMR) spectrometer. CPW-FMR is a spectroscopic technique that measures the coupling between an RF signal traveling in a coplanar waveguide and the oscillating magnetization of a sample. This may be used to determine the saturation magnetization Ms or the gyromagnetic ratio λ, in addition to parameters of the dynamic behavior of the spin excitation, such as the intrinsic damping a and the inhomogeneous line broadening ΔH0. The system uses modulation coils for lock-in, so no Vector Network Analyzer is required.

Users would have the full capabilities of the Cryostation closed cycled optical cryostat, as well as the Magneto-Optic module for their experiments.
