This data shows the typical vibration of the sample stage when the compressor is running and the system is cold. Note that the peak to peak variation is about 1.6nm and the RMS is about 0.25nm. In our data sheets, we specify a peak to peak variation of less than 5nm as a conservative measurement. This data was taken on a small (3' x 5') optical table, and a large optical table should have even better stability.
