Side plate on base Side Plate Side plate on sample chamber base allows access to route interfaces up into the sample chamber without relying on the optical ports. Side plates may have adapters for RF feed-throughs or gas tubes, for example.

Window Options - Side Window Assembly
30 mm side windows standard Standard window assembly; four 30mm user replaceable windows; 75mm beam height. For more details, see Windows Options
50 mm side windows (option) Large window assembly; four 50mm user replaceable windows; 90mm beam height. With 53mm dia x 55mm tall chamber. For more details, see Windows Options
rotated 50mm side windows (option) Large windows rotated 45 degrees; three 50mm user replaceable windows; 90mm beam height. Intended for use with 53mm dia x 55mm tall chamber. This allows larger equipment close to the opposing windows. This option works well with a base plate that allows rotation of the cryostat by 45 degrees as well. For more details, see Windows Options
100mm tall window assembly with 50mm windows 100mm tall This is a taller version of the 50mm side window assembly.
120mm tall window assembly with no windows 100mm tall This is a tall version of the window assembly that was created without windows. This can be used for applicatinos where only top access is required.

50 mm top windows (option)
with option for low working distance on top Includes ultra thin top windows to allow 1mm working distance. For more details, see Windows Options
Window Options - Bottom Window
30 mm bottom windows option
no thermal link for vertical through beam
This provides six windows on the sample space. It works well with the sample shelf and standoff option or with a hole in the optical table. For more details, see Windows Options
30mm bottom window option
with thermal link for low working distance
Same as above, but the thermal link is intended for low working distance on the bottom port only. For more details, see Windows Options

Extended Sample Chamber Option
extended sample chamber option Sample chamber is moved out 8" from cryocooler column. Reduces base temperature by about 2 degrees. For more information see Extended Sample Mount Option
Attocube Piezo Motion Stages Option
Attocube nanopositioning insert option
Indicate which stages you want to use:
Includes recessed pocket to hold Attocube or other stages below main level. Must specify which Attocube stages to use.

External Connection Options

RF (coax) via SMA feedthrough option This uses an optical port. Has SMA connector on inside and outside. For more information see Coax Feedthrough Option
Fiber optic feedthrough option (FC connector) This uses an optical port. Has FC connector on inside and outside. Other fiber connectors are available. For more information see Fiber Optic Feedthrough Option
Thermally Damped Electrical Sample Mount Option
Number of removable mounts requested:

High conductivity electrical mount. Allows 15 electrical connections to sample. Mounts easily to top of sample post. For more information see Thermally Damped Electrical Sample Mount Info

Sample in Gas Option
The sample in gas option is only compatible with a few of the options above. This allows the user to have a separate cold environment around a sample, and still have full control of the surrounding gas pressure. For more information see Sample in Gas Option. Contact Montana Instruments for details.
