We Are Looking For:

Montana Instruments, a growing high-tech company in Bozeman, Montana, is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our Product Development (PD) team.  In this role, you’ll join a high-performing, cross-functional team where you’ll contribute to the design, development, integration, testing, and support of new cryogenic products.

Responsibilities:

·Work closely with the engineering team to understand technical requirements and develop solutions

·Work across company departments to communicate needs, clear project roadblocks, accomplish tasks, and align work with company priorities

·Develop and maintain documentation for core engineering process and procedures

·Participate in technical design reviews

·Perform hands-on work in a laboratory environment for board bring-up and troubleshooting

Minimum Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

·5+ years relevant work experience

·Strong EE fundamentals

·Familiar with computer system architecture, analog design, and digital design

·Experience using typical laboratory equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, function generators, or network analyzers

Desired Skills:

·Proven ability to rapidly prototype designs and test concepts

·Experience with mobile/embedded systems, control systems, or industrial automation

·Experience effectively managing both long-term and short-term project schedules to meet deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment

·History of applying industry best practices and modern design principles

·Experience managing electrical projects from initial development through manufacturing and scale-up

·Experience working with contract manufacturers and part suppliers
