IEA-R1 Brazil: Nov 28 - Dec 1, 2017

The International Workshop on Utilization of Research Reactors celebrates 60 years of the successful operation of the first nuclear research reactor in Brazil, IEA-R1. The workshop will feature research from neutron facilities worldwide who have been invited to share their experience and join the commemoration.


The Optical Properties Study Group will provide an opportunity for young researchers and students in a wide range of optical properties and related fields to come together to exchange ideas and information. Themes covered will include: exciton optical response, ultrafast optical process, nonlinear optical phenomenon, optical properties of low dimensions systems, and more.

The International Symposium on Integrated Functionalities provides a forum to researchers and engineers from academia, laboratories, and industries, with focus on fundamental and applied science of multifunctional oxide, nanocarbon, and polymer materials in bulk and thin film form and their integration for the development of a new generation of non-volatile memories, tunable microwave devices, sensors, photovoltaic ferroelectric-based solar cells, nanocarbon-based micro and nano electronics, piezoelectric-actuated MEMS/NEMS devices, and external and implantable medical devices.

QD Day 2018 is a one-day workshop on all aspects of research into semiconductor quantum dots, colour centres in wide bandgap materials and quantum emitters in 2D materials. One of the principal goals of this meeting is to focus on the newest developments in the physics, materials science and device applications of quantum dots and to bring together groups working in this field.


The meeting will bring together nearly 10,000 physicists, scientists, and students from all over the world to share groundbreaking research from industry, universities, and major labs.
