The International Workshop on Utilization of Research Reactors celebrates 60 years of the successful operation of the first nuclear research reactor in Brazil, IEA-R1. The workshop will feature research from neutron facilities worldwide who have been invited to share their experience and join the commemoration.

Themes covered will include: exciton optical response, ultrafast optical process, nonlinear optical phenomenon, optical properties of low dimensions systems, and more.

QD Day 2018 is a one-day workshop on all aspects of research into semiconductor quantum dots, colour centres in wide bandgap materials and quantum emitters in 2D materials. One of the principal goals of this meeting is to focus on the newest developments in the physics, materials science and device applications of quantum dots and to bring together groups working in this field.
