Heat Load Maps

Data was collected from a the Cryostation base platforms showing the temperature rise based on the input power to the sample stage. In this experiment, heat was added to the Platform stage by applying power in Manual Mode to the built-in Platform stage heater. This data can be used to estimate the system response to heat loads introduced by known sources like wires, RF or optical power. Below are the results. The data plotted on the graphs is the same, with different ranges of horizontal axis.

Our systems use the Sumitomo RDK-101D cryocooler. The unburdened heat load map for the Stage 1 (radiation shield) can be found here: RDK-101D_Capacity_Map.pdf.
